Pushing back the boundaries of music documentary making, Iain Forsyth
and Jane Pollard's 20,000 Days on Earth is a fascinating study into the
life of Nick Cave.
Cave comes across as a very likeable and entertaining subject, his
mystique kept intact by the stylised nature of the work and the clever,
surreal way his musings on life, music and everything are presented.
For me the most inventive documentary since Banksy's Exit Through the
Gift Shop it proved once again what a valuable art form the documentary
is.
