I love these video essays by Tony Zhou. I previously posted his essay
about Martin Scorsese's use of silence. Here are some more of my

I totally agree with Tony about the majority of comedy films (especially
American comedies) being shot in a very uninteresting way and missing a
trick by trying to make the audience laugh using dialogue alone unlike Edgar Wright films that also get laughs from composition, sound FX, editing and character movement/ blocking.
